Brick Brickley is the Founder and Principal of Spherient Advisors, serving employers in Richmond, Virginia and across the Mid-Atlantic region and nationally.


He founded what would become Spherient Advisors in 1998 as a Mid-Atlantic employee benefits consulting firm focused on delivering disciplined advisory guidance to employers navigating the complexities of benefits and retirement plans.


A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Brick earned a degree in Economics in 1992 and began his career working as a benefits broker serving small and mid-market organizations with a regional firm. Early in his career, he also worked with an insurance carrier helping market health and welfare programs and retirement plan solutions to mid- and large-market organizations.


These early roles provided valuable perspective on both the brokerage and carrier sides of the industry, shaping his approach to benefits consulting and retirement plan advisory.


Since founding Spherient Advisors, Brick has worked with organizations across the country in both health and welfare benefits consulting and qualified retirement plan advisory, helping employers evaluate plan structure, vendor relationships, and long-term strategy.


In addition to serving clients, Brick oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm and continues to guide the strategic direction of Spherient Advisors.


Life Beyond Work


Brick resides in Richmond, Virginia and is married with two grown daughters who graduated from the University of Virginia and William & Mary. He enjoys watching soccer and playing tennis. His wife believes that, based on how much he practices, Wimbledon may not be entirely out of reach.
